We recieve a high number of calls for our training.  Below are answers to the basic questions regarding this training.  All of our instructors are licensed instructors with the California DMV, Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) and the ATV Safety Institute (ASI). 

Who: Anyone over 6 years of age and who is interested in learning to ride Off-Highway Motorcycles, or improve their riding fundamentals. This course is a great beginning for students who plan to eventually move on to street riding or racing.

What: 4-6 hour course (depending on the class skill level, weather and other factors)

Where: All classes are held at a closed-range-course within Prairie City OHV Park. The location is a 10 minute drive off Hwy 50 & Prairie City Exit in the city of Rancho Cordova.

Details: Dirtbike School is hands-on rider training that emphasizes safety and skill development.

During the 4 – 6 hour lesson students learn the techniques for safely riding off-highway motorcycles. Students will learn the proper standing posture, the controls operation and location, straight-line riding, turning, shifting, braking, as well as riding over obstacles, and riding hills.

Students may use our safety gear for a small fee (helmet, goggles, boots, pads, etc.) and choose from a variety of dirt bikes available at our facility. There is no charge to use our dirt bikes.  The pre-registered cost is $150 for students 6 to 15 years old, and $175 for 16 years and older.  If the student has their own dirt bike, they are encouraged to use that one for the training.  Prior to the class starting the bike will be inspected for safety and proper fit.

Equipment Rental and Use: We have everything needed to outfit the riders.  Protective equipment is available for an additional $15.00 a day.  This includes Helmets, goggles, gloves, elbow pads, knee pads and boots.  The use of our Yamaha and Honda motorcycles is included in the tuition fee.   

Classes are held at Prairie City SVRA in Rancho Cordova/ Folsom area on White Rock Road. Start time is 8:00 am and the class is six hours long.  If you have your own equipment, you are encouraged to use it and ride  I have bikes, helmets, goggles, gloves, knee and elbow protectors.  You will need long sleeves, jeans, and hard sole boots over the ankle. If you have your own equipment, you are encouraged to use it and ride your own machine.  Bring your lunch and something to drink.
